The cell is made entirely of composite materials and excels in its specific strength and excellent durability. The entire aircraft can be divided into individual units, i.e. The two halves of the wing and tail surfaces, including the stabilizers, can be separated from the fuselage to facilitate transport of the aircraft.
The tail section uses a tried and tested traditional design. The internal structure of the stabilizers is similar to that of the wings. As a result, the tail section can be completely removed from the hull, with the exception of the keel, which is an integral part.
There are several propeller options, both fixed-pitch and variable-pitch. The propeller is adjustable in flight to enhance climb and cruise performance. Its adjustment will also reduce your take-off distance. Woodcomp and DUC Hélices products are available.
The VL3 is available with several different engine options: Rotax 912 (S or IS), Rotax 914, Rotax 915 iS or 916 iS. The Rotax 912 is renowned for its reliability and efficiency, making it ideal for long-distance flying. The Rotax 914 is designed for pilots looking for improved speed (30 km/h (16 kts) @ FL 90), more power and more consistent performance at different altitudes. The Rotax 915 iS offers increased power, a better rate of climb at 2000 ft/min and an impressive maximum cruising speed of 370 Km/h TAS. As for the Rotax 916 IS, you'll be impressed by its exceptional rate of climb to 2600 ft/min. There are many options for the accessories you can add to your engine.
The aerodynamic configuration of the wings meets the appropriate characteristics for the aircraft. Airflow separation at the critical slope angle occurs at the wing root. This ensures smooth handling of the machine until it lowers and locks symmetrically. This allows the aircraft to be handled smoothly and agilely.
With over 500 aircraft already sold worldwide, the VL3 needs no further proof of its reliability, and its reputation is well established.

The parachute system is designed to protect occupants in an emergency by lowering the aircraft to the ground after deployment. In the event of an in-flight emergency, the pilot can pull the red handle, which deploys a solid-fuel rocket on a hatch covering the parachute compartment. As the rocket carries the parachute backwards from the front of the aircraft, the straps of the aircraft harness detach from the fuselage, allowing the parachute to deploy.
